Introduction – National President – Shamima Gaibie
The Annual Conference held at Sun City this year was a rip roaring success not only because of the participation of international and local speakers, but also because of your attendance of and participation in the various sessions. The Boma dinner was serene in its setting, sumptuous in its menu, and almost magical in its aura. It was, a memorable conference, to say the least. Suitably invigorated and enthused by the success of that event, the National Committee and the Chapter Committees, are both ready and willing to continue their work for SASLAW. Much of the success of SASLAW is ultimately dependent on your participation and your willingness to assist with its events and activities. For those of you who were present in the session (at the Conference) which involved an interactive debate about ‘where to from here’ for SASLAW, you will know that we have various events planned for the next year. We invite you to volunteer your time and expertise for the benefit of all of our members and for the development of labour law generally. We have no doubt that the coming year will be a busy one for SASLAW and for its members.
