Global Business Solutions' Mid-Year Labour Law Update 2018

This year is set to bring many changes to the employment law landscape. As such, there are going to be many cases coming through our courts which will test this legislation and give clarity on how this law needs to be applied in a practical situation.

At our MID-YEAR LABOUR LAW UPDATE labour law expert Jonathan Goldberg will take delegates through the latest cases to have passed through our labour law forums over the past six months. In addition, Jonathan will empower you with the knowledge of the practical application of the law, within your business.

FORECAST WAGE SETTLEMENTS FOR 2017

I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to join me in February when I present my annual programme setting out the forecasts for wage and salary settlements for the year ahead, as well as giving practical guidance and insight to managing hot topics. The sessions are interactive and there will be an opportunity for you to ask me questions pertinent to your company’s circumstances. With sustained upward pressure on wages, a sluggish economy, unbundling within the labour movement and fresh labour market challenges, forewarned is forearmed.

Stellenbosch Student Seminar

SASLAW hosted a student seminar in partner with the Stellenbosch University last week at the Legal Aid offices. A huge thank you and acknowledgement to Ebrahiem Abrahams who presented on the topics on affirmative action and In sourcing. Both topics were well presented and the students gave excellent feedback on the content of the presentations and the speaker. Prof Kitty Malherbe was also in attendance and she commended SASLAW for bringing forward this initiative.  From both sides we look forward to an ongoing relationship with Stellenbosch and welcoming many new student members.

We would also like to thank and acknowledge the sponsors Global Business Solutions, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, Werkmans Attorneys and Norton Rose for providing items for the student goodie bags.

Please see pictures below in the gallery, and presentation available to logged-in members in the downloads section above.
