29th SASLAW Annual National Conference | Call for Papers

The SASLAW Conference Committee invites experienced professionals to submit presentation proposals for the 29th SASLAW Annual National Conference.

This year, the conference theme has been intentionally broadened to encourage a wider range of perspectives and insights. We welcome submissions from industry experts, policymakers, academics, and legal practitioners who are passionate about contributing to meaningful dialogue on current and emerging developments in labour law in South Africa.

Against the backdrop of significant global developments, evolving South African labour law jurisprudence, and emerging legislative reforms, the landscape of workplace transformation and employment regulation continues to shift. These developments present both challenges and opportunities for those engaged in shaping the future of labour law and workplace practices.

The SASLAW Annual National Conference provides a unique platform for thought leaders to share their expertise, critically engage with evolving labour law frameworks, and reflect on lessons drawn from both local and international trends. Through your submission, you have the opportunity to contribute to advancing the discourse on employment law by highlighting new developments, sharing innovative approaches, and identifying areas where further development or reform may be required.

We encourage proposals that stimulate informed discussion, offer fresh perspectives, and contribute to the ongoing development of labour law in South Africa. Your insights can help shape the conversations that influence the future of employment regulation, workplace transformation, and labour law practice.

Would you like to participate? – Submissions close 17th April 2026

Note that submissions will be reviewed by the conference panel and selected papers will be considered for participation at the conference.
