Dr. John Grogan presented on the following topic: ENEVER, ALCOHOL POLICIES & THE RULE OF LAW What Enever tells us about employer disciplinary policies and employee dignity. What this means for “zero tolerance” alcohol policies in the modern workplace John Grogan obtained a BA (Hons), Bluris LLB, LLM and PhD from Rhodes University. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Law at Rhodes before joining the Bar, where he has practised as an advocate for many years. John’s area of expertise is labour law. He has acted as judge, arbitrator and senior commissioner at the CCMA and several bargaining councils. He is the author of Workplace Law, Collective Labour Law, and several other leading texts in the field. John has also served as an acting judge in both the Labour and High Courts.
